Sesame Business Network (SBN) Support Programme organised a two-day “training of trainers” programme for agriculture experts and development agents drawn from Tach Armachiho woredaagriculture office at Sanja, , North Gondar Zone from August 01- 02, 2013.
The main objective of the training was to enhance the knowledge and skill of agricultural experts and development agents on the application of improved sesame technologies.
The training focused on topics such as improved techniques for production of quality sesame seed, major sesame pests and their management techniques in the lowlands of North Gondar zone as well as implementation and management of improved sesame technology packages demonstrations.
A total number of 35 agricultural experts and development agents (out of which nine are females) participated in the training. The trainees will in turn train sesame farmers in their localities.
