Financing the sesame sector in northwest Ethiopia

BENEFIT-SBN organised a two-day meeting on ‘financing the sesame sector’ for managers of banks and microfinance institutions coming from northwest Ethiopia on March 31 and April 01, 2016.

The objectives of the workshop were to: share and discuss current activities and orientations of financial institutions; debrief and discuss the results of the RABO-RIAS/TMF analysis and proposals for action; formulate common medium term vision for financing the sesame sector and prioritisation and planning of practical actions.

18 participants convened from Amhara Credit and Saving Institutions, Dedebit Credit and Saving Institution, Adeday Microfinance, Cooperative Bank of Oromia, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Addis International Bank attended the meeting.
